Welcome to Day One of the Forest Boogie. It’s an exciting start as we head out from the Arminel Hotel and up the Hogsback Road and left into Woodside Drive which takes us to the Edge Hotel. This is a beautiful vantage point of the forest. From there we descend on a wicked single track all the way into Middle Earth and head into the beautiful Rans Forest, Tristan the Head Forester gave us an incredible route with beautiful vistas past dams until we reach the top of Mitchell’s Pass.

From the top of Mitchell’s Pass we go through the village and back into Rans Forest with a combination of Jeep and single track rolling along the Amatola mountain range. We then enjoy a massive downhill run all the way into the 39 Steps Waterfall past Kettlespout through the Arboretum and then up into the Arminel Chill Zone.

For Day Two, we head out to the Arboretum and then we’re faced with a big, big climb all the way up the Switchbacks past Kettlespout. Once we reach the top of the climb  instead of turning west, we head east along the ridgeline, just below the Hog, with views of Robertson Dam.

From Robertson Dam we then follow a circular route that takes us all the way past Wolf River back down the gravel road and the  massive escarpments overlooking the Hogsback village with a fast and furious downhill passing Hobbiton on Hogsback and onto the Arminel.
